Erin Ashland was born in Pasadena, Ca. She grew up all around
California, and mostly settled in Orange County. She went to college at the University of San Francisco
and studied American History, Theatre and Music. There she studied classical and opera music. She
moved to New York after graduating to try her hand at theatre in the Big Apple.
Musical Theatre has always been a passion for Erin. Her first encounter
was with Phantom of the Opera being played on the piano in her house at a young age. She
was forever intrigued. At 10, Erin was one of the youngest students at the Allard school
of Music and had “great promise”. Some of Erin’s favorite roles have been Rosa Bud in
The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Nancy in Oliver, and The Mistress in Evita.
Erin enjoys composing and singing country music, which tends to make her
friends nervous. She has come to the conclusion that it is because of the country music she has
developed a drawl. Don’t let that fool you, Erin is a Cali-girl through and through.
Erin could not have succeeded as far as she has without the
love and support of her Mom, sisters and brother, family, Dad, best friends, and boyfriend.
She is amazed that they continue to follow in her dream with her.
